Our boarding system
The term not only sounds like it, but really is intended to be similar to boarding at an airport. There, check-in is not conducted directly in the aircraft, but just beforehand in a separate place where the necessities are dealt with in advance, after which you prepare for departure in a waiting area.
In our hospital, check-in – inpatient admission – is also conducted in a boarding area. This is where admission interviews, patient briefings and medical consultations as well as individual examinations take place. Then our patients check in on the admission ward directly on the boarding level.
This helps us to reduce much of the legwork that you will be familiar with from other hospitals. In addition, the radiology department or other functional examinations are only a short distance away in our hospital.
The entire check-in process is organised in such a way that our patients’ expectations of a convenient and prompt admission are met.
A further major advantage is that our patients are prepared for their operation by trained and experienced specialists in the boarding area. Since the organisational process is orientated towards admission and preparation for surgery on this level, concentration is fully focussed on the patient here. The structural procedures thus ensure a high measure of patient safety.
Pre-inpatient admission, a few days prior to the planned hospitalisation, is carried out in order to complete examinations and patient briefings. So our patients may be admitted to the admission ward on the day before or directly on the day of the operation. This is done so that, in all the apprehension surrounding an operation, patients do not have to undergo the necessary preliminary examinations on the same day.
Your details at a glance
At admission, among other things you will be given your own personal patient wristband. This contains all details of your identity and is designed for your safety, for example in preparation for surgery, the administration of medication or transfer to a different ward.

To ensure that you quickly find your way around your new surroundings, we will take you by the hand from the very start.

Everything taken care of
You don’t have to do without a thing at the Waldkliniken Eisenberg. If you have forgotten anything or need something quickly, it’s no problem.
We have everything you need in our own internal facilities. You can visit our pharmacy, the chiropodist, the hairdresser or our kiosk in the reception area.
If desired, our nursing staff will be glad to make you an appointment with our trained chiropodist. This treatment will be at your own cost.
As a patient in our hospital, you also have access to a hairdressing salon. It is located in the medical centre on the hospital grounds. This will be at your own cost.
If you can’t make it to the hairdressing salon for health reasons, the hairdresser will be glad to visit you on your ward.

Our shop „Heimatladen“ is integrated into the Lobby-Bar and is open Mon-Sun from 8.0 a.m. to 4 p.m.. There you will find among other things daily necessities, flowers, sweet and salty snacks, small gifts and magazines as well as regional products.
You can gather strength in our Room of peace. You can get there via the administration level of the functional building or from the ward block via the 3rd floor.
In the Room of peace, you also have access to our library.
